01.The personality of trees
Just like people, trees have their own personalities. Factors such as tree species, origin, and age are obvious, but even planks made from the same log will never be identical. Trees with the same name can vary in color—bright, dark, with knots, or with scars—each a testament to the tree's long history and unique character. This is why each slab is called "the only one in the world." At Legend of Decayed Wood, we value the individuality of trees and strive to preserve their natural form during processing.
02.Cracks/warping caused by tree shrinkage
Trees contain moisture, and the water content (moisture level) within a tree fluctuates as it breathes. Wood shrinkage is also a result of changes in its moisture content. The wood we handle undergoes natural air-drying and high-frequency drying to control the moisture level to around 12%. While we take great care in drying the wood, the environment in which you use it may cause minor cracks or warping. Natural wood may exhibit some changes (small cracks, minor splits around knots, slight warping, or subtle misalignments in repaired areas). We appreciate your understanding.
03.Inspection and signing for goods
We remind you of the following precautions for logistics sign-off: Please inspect the goods on the spot before signing for receipt. If any of the following situations occur, take photos immediately as evidence and contact your dedicated Legend of Decayed Wood customer manager to report the issue.
① Packaging is damaged or severely deformed;
② The package is deformed or damaged and shows signs of being tampered with;
③ There are signs of secondary unpacking;
④ The number of items is insufficient.
If you do not open and inspect the packaging on the spot, it will be automatically assumed that you have accepted and approved the goods. After you have received and accepted the items, xiumu will not be responsible for any damage caused during transportation.
04.Regarding errors
Due to the unique nature of solid wood slab tables, there may be a 0.5-1 cm margin of error in dimensions. All measurements are based on the maximum distance of the actual product. The data provided in the illustrations is for reference only, and the actual product shall prevail. Slight variations are within the normal range, and we appreciate your understanding.
05.About color difference
Product images are all photographed from actual items. Due to factors such as lighting, photography techniques, and display settings, there may be slight differences between the images and the actual product colors. We strive to restore the original colors as much as possible during post-processing. Please refer to the actual product for the most accurate representation.
